Mario Busoni

Mario Busoni, who was born in Berlin, Germany, has lived and worked inNew York City most of his life. His depictions of the female figure in bronze, terracotta, and wood areabstracted to create a sensuous equivalent of the figure. Some of the works aremore expressionistic than others, but all share the quality of emotionalcompression and a humanistic perspective. His work has been exhibited at the National Academy ofDesign, the Art Lab Galleries at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, the 2/20Gallery, the Joe and Emily Lowe Art Gallery, and the Noho M55 Gallery, all inNew York City.
