Artist statement

People often feel compelled to disguise what they feel.

It’s nothing unusual that feeling isn’t recognized by appearance and

people pretend to be fine when they are tired of tense atmosphere.

I’d like to give a portrait of people who live in the present day.

It’s been almost fifty years since I started painting,

during those years, the material I use have changed.

I prefer using multiple materials these days because

I like the moment that I feel those different materials got

harmonized with the theme,

which also I feel that I have achieved a piece of work.

Collage and mineral color’s intense texture always attracts me.

As an artist, I always look for appealing theme and material.
